Due to an anticipated retirement, Langley Christian School is accepting applications for an entrepreneurial and visionary International Student Program Coordinator for the coming school year.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Provides program leadership and oversight
  • Promotes the International Student Program and recruit students
  • Works with LCS Admissions to admit and register students
  • Manages homestay program and provides ongoing support for both the student and homestay families
  • Provides oversight to the ELL Program and instruction
  • Responsible to Director of Finance for budget and finance for ISP; administers group medical program
  • Coordinates short term visiting groups and manages summer camp programs

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Evidence of involvement in a local Christian faith community
  • Post-secondary education
  • Previous experience working in international student programming
  • Strong professional references
  • TESL certification and/or experience teaching English as a foreign language
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, inclusive work environment
  • Strong managerial skills and financial/budget experience
  • Ability to effectively allocate resources
  • Experience working in intercultural and diverse work places
  • Evidence of courage, integrity, transparency and honesty in relationships
  • Evidence of strong interpersonal, organizational, conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional technology, web-based and computer skills
  • Confident oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel as required

 

This is a salaried 1.0 FTE position with compensation and benefits negotiable to match experience and expertise.
