The interdenominational community of HCS, currently home to 130 students from Kindergarten to Grade 12, was established in 1962 in the natural resource based town of Houston. Minutes from the school campus you will find world renowned steelhead fishing, extensive hiking trails, breathtaking mountains and much more for the outdoor enthusiast. HCS’s vision is to “Educate, Engage, and Equip … to the Glory of God.” We have a a newly developed Strategic Plan to guide us as we move forward in God’s will.
Houston Christian School (HCS) is prayerfully seeking a Christ-like individual to fill a full-time opening at the high school/middle school level. The focus would likely be in the area of the Humanities; however, there is considerable flexibility and the position could be tailored to the individual’s strengths.
Applicants should be willing to show a commitment to the community by being involved in a local church and be either currently possessing or willing to apply for a B.C. teacher’s certificate.
