We have an exciting full-time opportunity for an experienced administration professional to join our team to support our leadership team and school administration office.

You will be an integral part of a supportive team that greatly cares about creating a school environment that actively supports our students’ learning and growth.  We love working and learning in a new, modern building and are looking for an individual who values being part of a warm, welcoming community who seeks to serve others through their professional skills.

As the Senior Administration Assistant, you will offer a hospitable presence at the front of the office while being a trusted partner providing a high level of administrative support to the Superintendent.  Key responsibilities include:

  • calendar management and screening and delegation of phone calls, emails and tasks
  • meeting organisation and preparation
  • the organisation of digital files and information management and special projects as assigned
  • embody VCS’ warm, gracious and caring community culture by being a welcoming and helpful presence on the front desk to our students, parents, staff, inquiring families, visitors, and service providers
  • coordinating the flow of communication between the Superintendent and the leadership team on issues management
  • assisting with presentations, reports and other communications, both internal and external
  • working collaboratively with the rest of the Administration team on shared K-12 responsibilities and support the organisation of school events as required



Ideally, you will have a post secondary degree or diploma in business administration or office management combined with a minimum of 3 years experience in a school administration or professional office setting with experience supporting a senior leader.  Familiarity and comfort with a range of office productivity tools and business technology including G-Suite and Microsoft tools is a must as is the ability to learn new technology.

You will succeed in this role if you enjoy helping others to be more productive and efficient through your superb organisational and problem-solving skills. You work well in a confidential environment where often complex, sensitive and urgent matters arise, requiring you to exercise sound judgement and empathy.  You have the ability to be flexible, adaptable and view interruptions as opportunities for engagement.
