    John Knox Christian School invites caring, patient, and dedicated individuals to join our Educational Assistant On Call (EAOC) team.     As an Educational Assistant On Call, you will be welcomed into a supportive school community and work alongside teachers and support staff to meet the diverse needs of students. You will support students across grade levels, helping to maintain continuity of learning and contributing to a safe, respectful, and encouraging classroom environment.

     

    As an Educational Assistant on Call, you will:

    • Follow plans, procedures, and programs provided by the Educational Support Services Department
    • Support individual and small groups of students with learning, social, emotional, or behavioural needs
    • Help create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and respectful learning environment
    • Support classroom routines and daily transitions
    • Build positive, trusting relationships with students and staff
    • Adapt with flexibility, patience, and care to meet the needs of each student under your care
    • Uphold the mission, values, and Christian culture of John Knox Christian School

    Qualifications:

    • Commitment to Christ-centered education and alignment with the mission of the school
    • A warm, calm, and adaptable approach when supporting students
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
    • Experience working with children in elementary and/or middle school settings is an asset
    • Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs is an asset
    • Educational Assistant training is an asset, but not required
