Educational Assistant – Secondary

Abbotsford Christian School, located in the Fraser Valley, is a well-established interdenominational school of 1,300 students on three campuses: Elementary (preschool – grade 4), Middle (5-8), and Secondary (9-12).

Abbotsford Christian School is accepting applications for a SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANT. This is a full-time fixed-term position commencing immediately. The compensation range is $27.76–$34.72 per hour. For more information, please review the full job description.

Qualifications and Requirements

• SETA Certificate, Education Assistant Certificate, or related training
• Demonstrated experience in providing learning support to students with complex needs and learning challenges (i.e., FASD, ASD, ADHD, LD, DCD)
• Demonstrated experience or aptitude in secondary-level mathematics and science (Gr. 9-12)
• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of inclusive educational practices
• Ability to demonstrate competent technology skills
• Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills
• Ability to perform the required duties within an emotionally and physically demanding environment
• Clear commitment to Christian faith and participation in a local Christian church community
