Elementary/Primary Teacher

The position will begin in August.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Creating engaging, interactive, and developmentally appropriate lesson plans
• Implementing effective teaching strategies that support diverse learning styles
• Providing individualized support for students who require additional assistance
• Fostering a positive, inclusive, and Christ-centred classroom environment
• Collaborating with colleagues, administration, and parents to support student success
• Using technology, outdoor learning opportunities, and educational resources to enhance the learning experience
• Encouraging curiosity, inquiry, creativity, and real-world connections in student learning

Qualifications

Applicants must have:

• A valid B.C. Teaching Certificate
• A commitment to Christian education and the mission of Lighthouse Christian Academy
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A passion for student-centred, inquiry-based, and real-world learning
• A willingness to work collaboratively as part of a supportive school team

Compensation

Salary is based on full-time equivalency and years of teaching experience.
