Abbotsford Christian School, located in the Fraser Valley, is a well-established interdenominational school of 1200 students in three campuses: Elementary (preschool – grade 4), Middle (5-8), and Secondary (9-12).

GRADE 2 CLASSROOM TEACHER

Abbotsford Christian School is now accepting applications for a GRADE 2 CLASSROOM TEACHER for the 2026/27 school year. This part-time (flexible 0.40-0.50 FTE), fixed-term (maternity leave), salaried, job-share position commences September 8, 2026.

Specific qualifications include:

• BA degree in Education (or equivalent)
• A valid BC Teaching Certificate
• A clear and compelling vision for a 21^st Century Christian education.
• Evidence of a strong commitment to the Christian faith.

The ideal applicant must:

• Demonstrate evidence of a deep and disciplined understanding of the Christian worldview.
• Possess the ability to confidently teach in an elementary classroom.
• Demonstrate a willingness to work in a team environment in a progressive and creative school.
• Be able to work professionally and confidently, with the ability to adapt to situations as needs arise
• Exhibit confident communication skills when engaging with parents, students, and colleagues.
• Knowledge of and willingness to implement a structured literacy program.
• Experience with project-based learning or deeper learning pedagogies.

The salary range for this position is $22,800 – $51,000 and is dependent on an applicant’s qualifications and experiences.
