Job Description

Richmond Christian School is seeking a committed, Christ-centered Teacher for a fixed-term Grade 1 maternity leave position, beginning Monday, May 25th, 2026.

Candidate Profile

About the Position
The successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate, a Bachelor of Education, and demonstrate a sincere commitment to living out their Christian faith in alignment with Richmond Christian School’s Statement of Faith. You bring strong knowledge of the BC Curriculum and experience teaching at the appropriate grade level, with the ability to integrate a Christian worldview into instruction.

Must-have skills:

• Effective classroom management
• Ability to design engaging, student-centered learning experiences
• Collaborative, Christ-centered approach

Nice-to-have skills:

• Experience with educational technology
• Involvement in extracurricular activities

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience:

• Valid BC Teaching Certificate
• Bachelor of Education; teaching experience preferred
