    Abbotsford Christian School, located in the Fraser Valley, is a well-established interdenominational school of 1250 students in three campuses: Elementary (preschool – grade 4), Middle (5-8), and Secondary (9-12).

     

    Abbotsford Christian School is currently accepting applications for a full-time MAINTENANCE & FACILITIES SUPERVISOR beginning July 1, 2026. 

    This position will work at all three campuses. Depending on the applicant’s experience and qualifications the tasks and responsibilities may be adjusted each school year. Our retiring staff have worked hard to keep maintenance, repairs, contracts, and inspections up to date. The previous Director of Operations are both willing to advise and train the maintenance & facilities supervisor on their new role.

    Candidates must be able to demonstrate exemplary problem-solving, understanding of building maintenance needs, and communication with staff and outside trades. Although not directly related to student education at ACS, the maintenance & facilities supervisor is expected to see their work in the broader context of ACS’s mission.     Preferred qualifications include:

    • Evidence of commitment to the Christian faith
    • Experience in:
      • Managing large facilities;
      • Project management; and
      • Budget management.
    • Excellent service, communication, and interpersonal skills for collaborating with operations department team members and school leadership.
    • Understanding of the maintenance and basic repair of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, small appliances, and alarm systems.
      • Basic bus repairs and maintenance skills would be an asset, but are not required.

     

    The ideal applicant must be or have:

    • Experienced in the trades and working with tools.
    • Organized to facilitate and coordinate inspections.
    • Exceptional diagnosing, problem-solving, and trouble-shooting abilities to address both common and unique repair and maintenance situations, to minimize third-party contract call-outs.
    • Experienced with coordinating, communicating, and maintaining outsourced repairs and maintenance contracts.
    • Commitment to maintaining high-quality grounds and facilities.
    • Ability to both prepare for and respond to emergency situations that may occur outside of school hours.

     

    The salary range for this position is $75,000–$90,000, depending on an applicant’s qualifications and experience.
