Mathematics Teacher

John Knox Christian Secondary School is located in the heart of the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, in New Westminster, within view of the Fraser River. Our beautiful secondary campus was built in 2018 as an extension of our Elementary program with a long history of high-quality Christian education. We are a vibrant K-12 community of educators who joyfully support each other. We seek to authentically disciple our students and help them grow in their God-given gifts, abilities, and passions.

We are in a period of growth and are looking to expand our secondary school teaching team. We have a full-time Mathematics teaching position available. The salary for this role ranges from $60,000 – $104,000, depending on experience and qualifications.  Applicant requirements:

• Committed Christian
• Passion and vision for transformational Christian Education
• Education relating to mathematics and mathematics education
• BC Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for BC certification)
• Knowledge and practice with current BC Curriculum and 21st Century teaching practices

Preference will be given to applicants with:

• Experience teaching in a Christian school
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Relational approaches to teaching 
• Graduate degrees in mathematics or education
• Ability to effectively and positively engage with students, parents, and staff with a diversity of perspectives
