Surrey Christian School has over 1,100 students in early learning, elementary, and secondary programs, as well as an out-of-school program. We are located in Surrey, a diverse community just outside Vancouver. We are accepting applications for an Out-of-School Care Assistant starting August 30, 2026. Join our staff of vibrant, diverse, and collaborative educational professionals who are using their unique gifts to serve the Kingdom with passion, competence, and humility.
The Out-of-School Care Assistant at Surrey Christian School plays an integral role in supporting the out-of-school care program. Committed to providing quality care and fostering holistic growth, the assistant collaborates with staff, parents, and community members to create a loving and supportive atmosphere where children feel valued and empowered.
The position is a split shift (before and after school) from September to June, and 8 hours a day for six consecutive weeks during the summer to run our Summer Care Program. We are also open to accepting applications from those also interested in a part-time role for September to June only.
We offer comprehensive benefits, including extended health benefits, insurance, and professional development opportunities. The wage rate is based on experience and qualifications, with a range of $24 to $29 per hour, plus holiday pay and wage enhancements (if applicable). The posted wage is for the 2025/26 school year and is under review; it will be updated for the 2026/27 school year.
