    Position Overview

    The principal’s major responsibility is to coordinate, guide, and implement the educational program of Centennial Christian School in close cooperation and consultation with the Board and the staff. His/her focus must always be the improvement of instruction in harmony with the goals of Christian education, as expressed in the Vision Statement of Centennial Christian School, remembering that the school exists so that learning encourages the students’ growth as image-bearers of the Lord who understand and live their calling.

     

    Job Description

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Spiritual & Christ-Centred Leadership: Lead the school in faith, discipleship, and Christian worldview integration; nurture students and staff as image-bearers of Christ.
    • Christian Vision & Instructional Leadership: Champion the Christian educational vision, Teaching for Transformation, and Biblical through-lines across all programs.
    • Staff Leadership & Development: Hire, mentor, supervise, and spiritually support staff in both professional excellence and Christian growth.
    • Student Formation & Care: Oversee spiritual life, discipline (restorative), safety, student progress, and whole-child well-being.
    • School Operations & Administration: Direct daily operations, scheduling, admissions, records, compliance, transportation, preschool, and facilities.
    • Board & Governance Leadership: Implement board policy, manage reporting, budgeting input, and strategic planning.
    • Parent, Community & Church Relations: Lead communication, conferences, conflict mediation, special events, and community partnerships.
    • Public Accountability & Evaluation: Represent the school publicly, oversee surveys, advancement planning, and administrative evaluation.

     

    Qualifications

    • Strong personal testimony and faith in alignment with Centennial Christian School’s vision, mission, and policies
    • Has a Master’s Degree in Education or a related field (considered an asset)
    • Has experience in school leadership/administration (considered an asset)
    • Christ-centered servant leader who leads with humility and integrity, building strong relationships through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strategic community-builder and lifelong learner, with proven strengths in leadership, team-building, business administration, and organization.
