Pacific Christian School is seeking a Business Manager who reports to the Superintendent and works with the leadership and business teams as well as the Finance Committee and Treasurer to:
- Assist in the establishing and monitoring of the school’s budget.
- Oversee the school’s accounting systems.
- Prepare monthly financial statements for the Superintendent and Finance Committee.
- Prepare various reports related to the school’s financial performance for the Ministry of Education and the Society of Christian Schools of British Columbia.
- Prepare tax receipts and reports.
- Monitor all insurance policies and other service contracts.
- Assist in the administration of staff wages and benefits.
This is a full-time position and will commence in September 2022.
Ideal candidates possess:
- college diploma or university degree with an emphasis in finance and/or business administration (or equivalent education and related experience).
- accounting designation.
- extensive experience in budgeting, policy analysis/development and financial reporting/analysis.
- business experience in an educational environment
- vibrant Christian faith and a desire to foster Christian faith formation in young people.
- desire to become an active, contributing, collaborative member of a professional learning community.
- have demonstrated organizational and planning skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
