Signal Hill Life Education Society is a charity that aims to help today’s youth discover their unconditional value, positively influence others, and thrive in healthy relationships. We do this by providing dynamic online & in-person resources that parents and educators can use to foster their development and aid them in their task of raising the next generation. Position Available: Executive Director (full-time)

We seek a compassionate, hopeful and strategic leader to be our new Executive Director. The Executive Director is responsible for successful leadership, overall management, and coordination of all organizational operations according to the strategic direction and policies set by the Board of Directors.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Expand revenue-generating and fundraising activities to support existing program operations
  • Plan and manage the annual budget and provide regular financial reports to the board
  • Enable the Board of Directors to fulfil their governance function by supporting strategic planning and donor development and serving as an ex-officio member of each committee
  • Develop and sustain relationships with other organizations (foundations, peer non-profits, faith communities, businesses, individuals, etc.) to grow fundraising opportunities and create mutually beneficial partnerships
  • Promote Signal Hill’s vision by speaking publicly, educating, and creating a stronger brand presence online

The successful candidate will:

  • Be passionate about Signal Hill’s cause to help parents and teachers succeed in their task of raising the next generation
  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills and be a gifted public speaker
  • Have proven success in the areas of leadership and management, financial management, strategic planning, fundraising, Human Resources practices, and organizational governance and development for non-profits
  • Preferably demonstrate a working knowledge of databases (Raiser’s Edge NXT and Sage Accounting)

Salary will be based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and years of experience. Extended health benefits are included.
