High School English Teacher (0.8–1.0 FTE) Back to Jobs

Specific duties:

  • Work cooperatively with the colleagues within his/her department and across the school
  • Participate fully in student-learning and extra-curricular activities outside of the school day
  • May also be called on to teach additional courses



  • Completion of a Bachelor of Education
  • Experience teaching senior level English courses (such as AP English Literature and Composition, Composition 11/12, Literary Studies 11/12, Spoken Language 11/12, Christian studies) is an asset
  • Strong working understanding of differentiated instruction as it applies to teaching
  • Strong working knowledge of current pedagogy, sound assessment practices and learning empowered by technology
  • Must have a certificate issued by the Teacher Regulation Branch of the BC Ministry of Education
