Surrey Christian School is a PreK-12 school of over 1000 students in the suburbs of Vancouver. Our vision statement is “Educating for Wholeness by Engaging God’s World in the Servant Way of Jesus”.

Our Learning Support Services Department is accepting applications for a full-time Learning Support Services Teacher to join our Secondary Campus team to cover a maternity leave from December 1, 2022, until December 2023.

Surrey Christian School’s Learning Support Services is committed to empowering students to reach their potential as unique learners who bear the image of Christ. Through purposeful inclusion we encourage students to develop their gifts, become self-advocates, and gain independence as valued members of their communities.

The Learning Support Services teacher, as part of a team, is responsible for overseeing the development and supporting the implementation of Individualized Education and Learning Support Plans for students with exceptionalities. The LST will also be responsible for leadership and supervision for Education Assistants at the Secondary Campus, as well as being part of Surrey Christian School’s K-12 Learning Support Services team.

We are seeking applicants who:

  • Are British Columbia certified teachers, or Independent School certified teachers
  • Have coursework in Special Education
  • Have work experience with students with exceptionalities
  • Have good communication skills
  • Are great team players
