Marketing Assistant

The Marketing Assistant is a newly created role that supports the organization by performing a wide variety of tasks to assist in the execution of marketing and communications plans. This role reports to the Marketing and Communications Manager, and works closely with other members of the organization. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, creative person with strong written communication skills.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the execution and tracking of marketing programs
  • Liaising with affiliate schools through responsiveness to incoming emails
  • Assisting with organizing and executing events, including conferences, webinars, training programs, and retreats
  • Proofreading and formatting documents, policies, reports, and emails
  • Creating and assisting with the production of marketing and promotional material, including email, webpages, newsletters, and social media posts
  • Providing project-specific administrative support to the Marketing and Communications Manager, and other team members
  • Administration of communication infrastructure (e.g. phone and email systems)
  • Publish annual school year calendar and communicate details of regional cohort events and established co-curricular athletic, arts, and science activities across the province


Employment Standard Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Expertise using Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with graphic design and copywriting for marketing/promotional material
  • Basic video editing experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of other tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, email marketing tools, web content management systems, and is an asset

You’ll be based in our office in a dynamic co-working space in Burlington, Ontario at the nexus of the 407, 403 and QEW, with flexibility for working from home. This full-time position with benefits begins in March 2022. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
