John Knox Christian Secondary School is located in New Westminster, BC, in the heart of the lower mainland and within view of the Fraser River. Maternity Leave Position for 2023 – 2024

John Knox Christian School is seeking to fill a maternity leave teaching assignment that will commence in October 2023. The position involves teaching Physical Education classes at the middle school level, is approximately 60% of a full-time position (0.6 FTE) and involves teaching students in grades 7 and 8.

The duration of the maternity leave will be 11 to 18 months. The candidate should have a BC teaching certificate and experience in PE or recreational leadership.

• Passion and vision for transformational Christian Education
• BC Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for BC certification)
• Knowledge and practice with current BC Curriculum and 21st Century teaching practices
