John Knox Christian Secondary School is located in New Westminster, BC, in the heart of the lower mainland and within view of the Fraser River. Maternity Leave Position for 2023 – 2024

John Knox Christian School is seeking to fill a maternity leave teaching assignment that will commence in October 2023. The position involves teaching Spanish classes at the middle school level. The Spanish teaching portfolio is 25% of a full-time position (0.25 FTE) and will involve teaching students in grades 7-9.

The duration of the maternity leave will be 11 to 18 months. The candidate should be fluent in Spanish and have a BC teaching certificate. Experience teaching Spanish to students in grades 7 – 12 would be an asset.

• BC Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for BC certification)
• Knowledge and practice with current BC Curriculum and 21st Century teaching practices
