Duncan Christian School is a diverse and growing Christian school located in the beautiful Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island and invites applications for the following teaching position for a fixed term 1-year contract beginning after Spring Break (March 27, 2023).

Middle/High School Art Teacher 

This part-time position designates the successful candidate as the secondary (8-12) campus Art teacher. This position may also include one Biblical Studies module.

Requirements

• Applicants must hold, or be eligible for, a valid BC Teaching Certificate and meet the requirements of the DCS Employment of Teachers Contract.
• Completion of a Bachelor of Education
• Understanding of differentiated instruction

• Working knowledge and willingness to continue learning in the areas of current pedagogy, sound assessment practices and learning

• Art related training
• Understanding of the local cultures is a benefit
