POSITION: Principal, Nelson Christian Community School, Nelson, B.C.
Nelson Christian Community School (NCCS) is accepting applications for a dynamic principal, committed to our mission and values, commencing August 1, 2024. We are looking for a Christ-centered leader with a passion for quality Christian education who exhibits proven expertise in education and leadership. Salary & Compensation
- Salary Range: $75,000 – $80,000 per year
- Health Benefits Program: The program is cost-shared (70:30) between NCCS and the administrator. Covers 70% Basic Dental and 70% Extended Health Care with small amounts of Life and Critical Illness Insurance.
- RRSP Matching Program: Every dollar the employee puts towards an RRSP NCCS will match 33 cents.
- Moving Costs: Negotiable
Qualifications
- Valid BC teaching certificate
- Master’s degree in education or a related field is an asset
- A minimum of five years of teaching experience in a K-9 setting
- A proven track record of effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experienced teacher (minimum of 5 years) with training and understanding of the meaning and value of a faith-based learning environment
- Principal or Vice Principal experience is considered an asset
- Acceptance of the NCCS Statement of Faith, without reservation
