Job Description Overview

Vernon Christian School is seeking a passionate and visionary educator to join a highly collaborative administrative team in providing transformational leadership within a growing, thriving, Christ-centered learning community.  The focus of this role will be in our Secondary Campus with approximately 200 gr.7-12 students:

• Instructional leadership & mentorship
• Curriculum/program development
• Organizational leadership: schedules, timetables, etc.
• Staff and student culture leadership
• Classroom instruction (teaching role will depend on candidate’s expertise)

Note: specific duties will vary depending on the unique experience and skill-set of the successful candidate

Qualifications

• Committed follower of Jesus Christ with active church involvement
• BC Teaching certificate (or eligibility for BC certification)
• Willingness to work in a highly collaborative, cross-campus leadership team
• Passion and experience in teaching from a Biblical worldview. Proficiency in “Teaching for Transformation” would be an asset.
• Understanding of best practices related to curriculum, instruction, assessment, and student-life
• Masters Degree or diploma in educational leadership would be an asset
