Education & Experience

  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of successful classroom teaching experience
  • Special education training and/or equivalent experience is recommended in the following areas:
  • meeting the needs of students with specific exceptionalities (e.g. learning disabilities, ADHD, FASD, gifted, ASD, ELL, etc.)
  • meeting the diverse behavioural and social/emotional needs of students
  • Multi-tiered Systems of Support, Universal Design for Learning,
  • Assessment

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills
  • Proven strengths in the areas of fostering student learning, differentiation, collaboration, shared decision-making, parent and teacher engagement
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
