High School Math/Physics Teacher (1.0 FTE)

Campbell River Christian School is located in Campbell River on Vancouver Island. Campbell River Christian School (CRCS) is a vibrant school known for excellence in education. We serve families in Campbell River, and communities close by including the Comox Valley, Quadra Island, and Sayward.

We are currently accepting applications for a full-time High School Math/Physics teaching position for the 2023-24 school year. Assignment: Math 10, Math 11, Pre-Calculus 11, Calculus 12, Physics 11/12 and other TBD.

The successful candidate will have qualifications/skills which include, but are not limited to:

  • a valid BC Professional Teaching certificate/diploma
  • experience as a teacher in Math and/or Physics and with working with Jr./Sr. High School students
  • strong formative and summative assessment practices
  • excellent understanding of and experience with differentiated instruction
  • ability to work with diverse students by using various teaching strategies
  • excellent listening and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with staff in a team approach
  • demonstration of excellent teaching practices using current pedagogical best practices
  • demonstration of strong classroom management skills
  • ability to integrate a biblical worldview into all lessons and evidence of a strong understanding of and support for Christian education
  • a strong commitment to the Christian faith and a commitment to the Statements of Faith as outlined in the school’s faith statements as well as the statements of faith outlined by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI)
