Vice Principal of Elementary School Back to Jobs

Full Time Starting September 2021

We have a FTE Vice Principal of Elementary School (Grades K-5) teaching position available for this coming September. Duties would include a mix of administration duties (0.5) and teaching duties (0.5).

 

Duties and Responsibilities Includes

  • Daily Operation of Elementary School
  • Carry out policies of the handbook including discipline, etc
  • Oversight of Middle & High School Chapel program – in conjunction with the chaplain
  • Work in conjunction with the Principal to oversee other administrative responsibilities including report cards, parent teacher interviews, special events, etc.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • BC qualified Teacher
  • 5+ years classroom experience, evidence of school wide leadership and proven mastery in previous role(s)
  • Technologically proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook), Google Drive, Zoom, etc
  • Flexible and supportive attitude towards innovation and change
  • Must align with the following  attitudes and attributes:
  • Passion: Discipleship and Christian Education, Children,  Families and Staff , Relationships and Connection
  • Pedagogy: Wonderment and Curiosity, Critical thinking and Biblical worldview, Inquiry and Mastery

  • Must be a creative thinker with a strong attention to detail
  • Must have strong conflict-resolution skills

 

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • This is an onsite position with flexibility and freedom to work from home on projects & planning
  • 40 hours per week (averaged over a 12 month period and subject to the policy for “Hours of Work Expectations for Management”)
  • Ability to work in front of a computer for extended periods at a time
  • Travel to meetings and conferences occasionally or as required
