Woodworking Instructor (.5 FTE) Back to Jobs


Kamloops Christian School invites applications for a part-time Woodworking instructor (grades 6-12). The successful applicant will join a vibrant staff with opportunities for collaboration and professional development. Candidates must hold a valid teaching certificate allowing them to teach in British Columbia. Successful candidates will participate in an interview process. Our anticipated start date is August 15th, 2022 (contract begins July 1, 2022). Experience with working in Industrial Arts classrooms is an asset. Highly desirable qualifications include experience using Teaching for Transformation and a knowledge of Google’s Educational Suite.


  • Teaching Certification (BC College of Teachers) or Independent School Certification (ISC).

Pay Band: According to KCSA’s pay scale based on SCSBC’s pay scale. Total salary amount is based on years of experience (TQS). KCS does have Cat 5+ and Masters pay scales as well. A SIGNING BONUS of $2,000 will be awarded to the successful applicant as well as up to $500 for moving expenses.
