SCSBC invites all school board members and leaders to join us on Saturday, November 5, for our annual Board Leadership Conference, From Bubble to Bridge: Educating Christians for a Diverse World. Drs. Marion Larson and Sara Shady from Bethel University in Minneapolis will lead us in reflecting on how Christian schools can become insular and protective bubbles, contrary to our lofty mission statements that speak of impacting or transforming the world for Christ.

As society becomes seemingly more hostile, Christian schools can sometimes adopt a fight or flight mentality – engaging in culture wars or sheltering in our communal bubble. Join us to explore what it means to be faithfully present in our cities, towns and beyond, embracing the call of Jesus to be salt and light in a hurting world. 

In addition to exploring this topic, we’ll enjoy food and fellowship, the SCSBC Annual General Meeting, and workshops on the Bill C-4 and Student Safety legal opinions solicited by SCSBC.
