    Employment Type: 0.7 FTE

    Salary Range: $38,500 – $66,500 (dependent on education/certificate and experience) 

     

    Unity Christian School is located in the picturesque city of Chilliwack, British Columbia. We are anticipating a possible need for a dedicated and passionate Art teacher (Grades 8 – 12) for the 2025/26 school year. As an integral member of our team, you will play a crucial role in fostering a Christ-centered, welcoming, and engaging learning environment for our students.

    The High School Art Teacher is responsible for designing and delivering an engaging art program that fosters creativity and skill development while integrating a Christian perspective. He or she nurtures students’ God-given gifts through various techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.  The Art Teacher position is 0.7 FTE but can be made into a 1.0 FTE position with additional teaching responsibilities based on the qualifications of the successful candidate.

    The high school is home to 15 committed teaching staff members and 200 students in grades 9–12.     About our Middle School and Staff Team

    The middle school is home to 12 committed teaching staff members and 150 students in grades 6 – 8. Our dedicated staff work collaboratively to inspire and equip students for a lifetime of service and flourishing. The middle school staff is one that is highly collaborative, integrative, and focused on meeting the unique learning needs of middle school students. We seek to empower students to own their learning, and to provide a grace-filled community that allows students to be challenged in their faith and learning.

    Each candidate must be:

    • a committed Christian
    • a BC-certified teacher (or be able to qualify for BC certification)
    • dedicated to Christian education.
