SCSBC’s finance services are focused on helping schools develop best practices in the areas of budgeting, reporting, and financial policies that support the long-term sustainability of the school. We also serve and support over 150 Christian schools in Western Canada with our charitable receipting framework. We provide networking and professional development opportunities for school finance leaders that allow for sharing of ideas and solutions to common problems.

Examples of our products and services for member schools include:

    • Financial benchmarking reports
    • Financial health, internal control and/or staff compensation reviews
    • Charitable receipting framework and review (compliance with IC75-23)
    • Annual SCSBC compensation report
    • Employment contract and human resource policy templates
    • Assistance with budgeting and long-term forecasting models
    • Regular online networking meetings and an annual conference for finance and advancement staff

Non-member schools may attend the annual conference and subscribe to the charitable receipting framework and compensation report for an annual fee.

“SCSBC has been an amazing partner for MCCS over the last years, and as the Business Manager, I am extremely grateful for all that they do. We have benefited from their services by way of the benchmarking and compensation reports, conferences, and also a Financial Health Review that provided us with recommendations and tips, which we are very grateful for. Besides those offerings, networking with all the SCSBC team and member school finance leaders has been so valuable to me in my role as Business Manager.”
