Athletic Director – Male & Co-Ed Athletics

John Knox Christian Secondary School is located in New Westminster, B.C., within view of the Fraser River. Our beautiful secondary campus was built in 2019 as an extension of our elementary program, which has a 70-year history of high-quality Christian education. We are in a period of growth (enrolment has increased by over 60% in the last six years) and are expanding our secondary school teaching team. We have an Athletic Director/PHE teaching position available with a salary range between $61,5000 and $108,000, depending on qualifications and experience. This role will be part of a co-directorship that shares the responsibilities and leadership of the athletics program. Applicant requirements:

• Committed Christian
• University kinesiology degree
• Passion and vision for transformational Christian Education
• BC Teaching Certificate
• Experience teaching PHE and Athletics
• Knowledge and practice with current BC Curriculum and 21st Century teaching practices

Preference will be given to applicants with:

• Experience teaching in a Christian school
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Relational approaches to teaching 
•  Ability to effectively and positively engage with students, parents, and staff with a diversity of perspectives
• Passion and experience coaching youth sports
