Position Purpose
To advance the mission of Gaglardi Academy by working with K-12 students to inculcate the wonders of the triune God, teaching them to walk with Jesus, providing authentic experiences to mature their faith, and engaging them in the Christian mission to go into all the world and make disciples.
Position Details
- Salary Range: $40,000.00 (for 3 days per week)
- FTE: 0.6 (3 days per week)
- Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Spiritual Life Functions and Responsibilities
- Foster a school culture encouraging spiritual growth and maturity among faculty, staff, students, and parents.
- Coordinate the planning and oversight of the K-12 Bible curriculum, resources, and weekly chapel services.
- Develop opportunities for intentional student discipleship, such as small group meetings and mentoring programs.
- Assess students’ spiritual growth throughout the school year.
- Support students’ emotional well-being, especially in high school.
- Plan, organize, and oversee annual student spiritual retreats.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive K-12 community service and mission outreach plan.
- Coordinate and oversee weekly faculty devotions and other staff spiritual growth opportunities.
- Promote Christian scholarship to students, faculty, and families.
- Organize K-12 Spiritual Emphasis Week activities.
- Implement and oversee the Restorative Practice program in collaboration with the Principal.
- Assist principals in interviewing and selecting new staff members.
Related Experience
- Leadership in programming such as weekly worship, camps, or outreach activities in a church or Christian educational setting.
- Demonstrated success coordinating programming involving staff, parents, or other groups.
- Experience in planning missions, curriculum, service projects, or mission trips with proven results.
- Ability to design and implement discipleship programs for students, staff, and families.
- Experience developing and presenting biblical curriculum, pastoral messages, or devotional content.
- Counselling and training experience.

Example First Year Goals and Objectives
- Inspire an atmosphere where students and staff experience a fire for Jesus through mission and service work.
- Support students and staff in maturing their spiritual disciplines.
- Review and evaluate the current K-12 Bible program; recommend alternatives to inspire faith in students better.
- Create transformational chapel experiences incorporating students, guest speakers, and various forms of worship media.
- Develop at least one service opportunity per grade level by collaborating with staff on ideas, purpose, and timing.
- Build regular connections with individual students or groups to ensure every student can access the Director of Faith.
- Establish clear visibility and understanding of the Director of Faith’s role among students, staff, and parents.
- Communicate upcoming activities through email, social media, and other appropriate channels.
- Collaborate with faculty across academics, arts, and athletics to foster a collegial atmosphere.
