Educational Assistant

Richmond Christian School is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Educational Assistant to join us for a fixed-term contract.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong commitment towards Christian Education and an ability to anticipate the needs of a diverse group of learners. The ideal candidate also demonstrates a foundational knowledge in working within the Positive Behaviour Support framework.

About the Position

The Educational Assistant (EA) will work to support students, under the direction of the classroom teacher, both class-wide as well as in small groups or one-to-one.  The EA should have strong collaboration and communication skills in order to work best with classroom teachers and should show flexibility to best meet student needs. This role is an on-site position, at our Elementary Campus at 5240 Woodwards Road, Richmond.

Please note this is a part-time Fixed-Term Contract until March 12, 2025, working Mondays and Wednesdays.

The posted compensation range is based on a 1.0 FTE EA position and will be pro-rated to reflect the work assignment, dependent on start date.

Compensation Range: $24,910.00 to $38,841.00 per year

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

• Current certification from an accredited Educational Assistant Program or related certification such as Behaviour Interventionist.
• Evidence of course work or experience with exceptional and unique learners
