    ELEMENTARY EDUCATION ASSISTANT K-12 – 1.0 FTE: Immediately – June 18, 2025

    THE POSITION?

    Be an advocate for students, encourage their strengths and build strategies for stretches.

    Maintain privacy and confidentiality.

    Communicate professionally and respectfully with staff, students, parents and any external agency provider.

    Work with the student and the student’s team to facilitate the inclusion of all students in their learning and growth.

    See the image of God in every learner and provide support to students individually (1:1) or in a small group setting.

    Assist in adapting situations, environment, materials and activities so the student can be successful.

    Implement IEP goals and planned strategies, tools and activities for the student.

    Assist in developing and implementing a student response plan or safety plans when necessary.

    Keep anecdotal records, running records/evidence logs, and work samples etc. to document student progress and history.

    Use data tracking to monitor student progress.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Education Assistant Certificate (or equivalent)

    Experience and/or further training in supporting autistic individuals or students with FASD, intellectual disabilities, personal care needs, or other learning  differences or medical plans

    Evidence of a strong sense of purpose and identity built on Biblical principles and participation in a local Christian church community.

    First aid/CPR certificate.
