Abbotsford Christian School, located in the Fraser Valley, is a well-established interdenominational school of 1,200 students on three campuses: Elementary (preschool – grade 4), Middle (5-8), and Secondary (9-12).
Abbotsford Christian School is currently accepting applications for an Executive Director / Head of School for a 1.0 FTE position beginning September 1, 2025.
The executive director is the chief administrator of Abbotsford Christian School (ACS) and is directly accountable to the ACS Board of Directors. As a visionary leader, the executive director advises the ACS Board on policy, decision-making, and long-range planning. Then, as a skilled administrator, they implement those policies, decisions, and plans, using the staff, community of volunteers, and financial resources available. The executive director models ACS’ core values and beliefs with adherence to the ACS Community Standards, inspires innovative education, fosters an environment of team synergy, and operates as a servant leader. The executive director motivates, encourages, challenges, holds accountable, and empowers the ACS Leadership Team to be effective leaders in their own areas. The executive director demonstrates sensitivity, compassion, patience, honesty, and wisdom in all interactions with staff, students, parents, ACS Society members, and other individuals. As a skilled communicator, the executive director shares the vision and educational philosophy of ACS with the staff, the ACS Society, the wider Christian community, the local Fraser Valley community, and the provincial government.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
• a recognized, post-graduate, university degree (preferably a master’s degree or professional designation)
• more than five years of senior leadership experience
• strong leadership skills, including the ability to provide direction, encouragement and motivate staff
• excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including strong negotiation skills
• the ability to liaise between ACS board members, staff and community members
The ideal candidate will be aligned with ACS’ core values and beliefs and adhere to the ACS Community Standards.
The salary range for this position is $160,000 – $185,000, plus an extensive benefits package, and is dependent on an applicant’s qualifications and experiences.
