    Employment Type: 0.3 FTE

    Salary Range: $16,500 – $28,500 (dependent on education/certificate and experience) 

     

    Unity Christian School is located in the picturesque city of Chilliwack, British Columbia. We are anticipating a possible need for a dedicated and passionate High School Academic Counselor for the 2025 – 2026 school year.  As an integral member of our team, you will play a crucial role in fostering a Christ-centered, welcoming, and engaging learning environment for our students.

     

    The role of the Academic Counselor is to assist with student course selection and timetabling, as well as supporting students in their college and career planning. The Academic Counselor position is 0.3 FTE but can be made into a 1.0 FTE position with additional teaching responsibilities based on the successful candidate’s qualifications.

    The high school is home to 15 committed teaching staff members and 200 students in grades 9 – 12.     Each candidate must be:

    • a committed Christian
    • a BC-certified teacher (or be able to qualify for BC certification)
    • dedicated to Christian education.

    • your BC Teacher’s Certificate, or equivalent if you’re from out of province
    • university transcripts, if available (copies are acceptable)
