Surrey Christian School is a PreK-12 school of over 1,100 students located in Surrey, an ethnically diverse urban community just outside Vancouver. We believe that our mission statement, Educating for Wholeness by Engaging God’s World in the Servant Way of Jesus, is an invitation for our students and staff to partner with God in the restoring of his Kingdom, in the making of all things new.
Surrey Christian School is a growing community with a strong staff and faculty, inspiring students to become fully alive in God’s story. We look for teachers with a growth mindset and are excited about being a “people of try.” The role of a Teacher at Surrey Christian School is vital in educating students for wholeness by engaging in God’s world in the servant way of Jesus. Teachers are challenged to design formational learning experiences that allow students to do real work that meets a real need for real people, making student-centred classrooms where students are invited and nurtured to connect the curriculum to God’s story, empowering our students to practice justice-seeking, community-building, and God-worshiping.
