WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our collaborative and supportive school team is accepting applications for on-call Behaviour Interventionist/Support Workers (BI) at our Elementary, Middle, and High school campuses. The Behaviour Interventionist is responsible for providing one-to-one and group support to Autistic students and others with complex needs. LCS is committed to achieving the meaningful inclusion of all individuals in our community and encourages those with a passion for enabling students to flourish to apply.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Mandatory minimum 6 months experience as a BI supervised by a BCBA
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work both independently and cooperatively, delivering one-to-one instruction within a multi-disciplinary team
Knowledge of human development and the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis/Verbal Behaviour (ABA/VB), and related assessment and therapeutic skills
Ideal candidates will be physically strong, energetic, enthusiastic, and capable of working with a diverse range of learners.
Degree or diploma/certificate in a related field (Psychology, Social Work, Education)
Current crisis prevention certification and First Aid/CPR certification an asset
Evidence of a strong sense of purpose and identity built on Biblical principles, as well as participation in a local Christian church community
