Inspiring School Principal

Cairn Christian School in Stoney Creek is seeking our next principal following the retirement of our current principal, effective July 2025. Cairn Christian School is an interdenominational Christian school system operating with elementary school campuses in Smithville and Stoney Creek. The schools’ mission is to inspire students to love, learn, and lead together in God’s world, and their bold vision is to be the leaders in education by inspiring a diverse and unified student body to love, learn, and lead with God’s grace, bringing Christ’s love to the world.

Cairn Christian School operates under a Policy Governance Model, with a leadership team led by an Executive Director and two Principals. This unique structure presents an exciting opportunity for a new leader to step into the Principal role or for an experienced Principal to further develop their areas of strength. The successful candidate will possess a compelling blend of vision, leadership, relationship skills, and educational experience, with a desire to contribute to a supportive leadership structure for the flourishing of our entire organization.

The Principal being sought will be primarily responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day activities at the Stoney Creek site fulfil our mission and vision. This requires someone who can be a dynamic leader to an inspiring staff that provides instructional excellence. We can adapt the finer points of this position to enfold and utilize your gifts and strengths. Our goal is to have our Stoney Creek location continue to be recognized as an excellent Christian school for the East Hamilton and West Niagara regions.
