Houston Christian School (HCS) is inviting applications for the position of Principal, beginning August 1, 2026. We are seeking a Christ-centered leader with a deep love for the Lord and a calling to serve in Christian education. The successful candidate will be passionate about cultivating a Christ-centered learning environment that fulfills HCS’s vision to Educate, Engage, and Equip students for the glory of God.

• Demonstrate spiritual maturity and servant leadership rooted in Scripture
• Model Christlike character and a passion for faith-integrated learning
• Build and sustain strong, trusting relationships with staff, students, families, and the broader community. As a visible and approachable presence in the daily life of the school, the principal will actively engage in classrooms, hallways, and school events, fostering a culture of connection, encouragement, and Christ-like leadership. Relational leadership will be central to nurturing a vibrant, unified school community.
• Provide clear, compassionate leadership with a vision for Christian education
• Be effective in curriculum implementation and instructional leadership across K–12
• Manage people and priorities with wisdom, efficiency, and integrity
• Handle conflict resolution with grace and professionalism
• Be committed to ongoing personal and professional development

Qualifications

• Be an active, engaged member of a church that shares Houston Christian School’s commitment to Christ’s lordship over all of life and the centrality of God’s Word.
• Hold a valid BC teaching certificate
• A Master’s degree in education or a related field is an asset
• A proven track record of effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experienced teacher (minimum of 5 years) with training and understanding of the meaning and value of a faith-based learning environment
• Principal or Vice Principal experience is considered an asset
