    Salary Range: $55,000 – $95,000 (dependent on education/certificate and experience) 

    Unity Christian School, nestled in the scenic city of Chilliwack, British Columbia, is excited to invite applications for a dedicated and passionate Woodworking and Metalwork teacher to join our team starting April 15, 2025. We aim to find a candidate who is well-suited for a continuing (indefinite) contract into the 2025–2026 school year. As a vital member of our community, you will inspire students by creating a Christ-centered, supportive, and dynamic learning environment.

    About our Woodworking and Metalwork Programs

    Unity Christian’s woodworking and metalworking program provides students with hands-on, experiential learning opportunities designed to foster creativity, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities. The program integrates craftsmanship with critical thinking, equipping students with practical knowledge applicable to both career and personal endeavours. Through these experiences, Unity Christian empowers students to nurture their God-given gifts, preparing them to excel in trades, engineering, or creative fields while glorifying God through their workmanship.

     

    About our High School and Staff Team

    The high school is home to 15 committed teaching staff members and 200 students in grades 9 – 12.   The high school learning community is one that seeks to empower students to own their learning, and to provide a grace-filled community that allows students to be challenged in their faith and learning.  Our dedicated staff work collaboratively to inspire and equip students for a lifetime of service and flourishing.

     

    We are looking for a passionate and growth-minded individual who is ready to live into our staff core values:

    Each candidate must be:

    • a committed Christian
    • a BC certified teacher (or be able to qualify for BC certification)
    • dedicated to Christian education.

     

    Each application should include

    • a current cover letter and résumé (including at least 2 professional references, with phone numbers/emails)
    • your BC Teacher’s Certificate, or equivalent if you’re from out of province
    • university transcripts, if available (copies are acceptable)
    • your “Applicant Statement of Faith”using specific form attached
