Kindergarten Teacher

We are looking for a BC-Certified teacher to become part of our PRCS team for the 2025/26 school year and, hopefully, for many years to come.

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified individual to join PRCS full time for the 2025-2026 school year and beyond.  We have the privilege of teaching and shaping our students through every interaction within and outside our classrooms. As a staff, we love to nurture the potential we see in every child and to share God’s love through our actions and words. As a school we aim to keep our primary maximum class size at 18 students and kindergarten at 16 students.  The goal is to encourage strong relationships and support for our students and staff.

What We Offer with this position

• Compensation ($48,369 – $84,763 1.0 FTE), based on education and experience.
• At least 120 minutes of prep scheduled weekly.

• Small class sizes: [Limits K (16), Grades 1-3 (18), Grades 3-4 (21), Grades 4-7 (25)]
• Full-time aid in all of our classrooms to support the classroom teacher and students, dependent on the annual budget.

Preferred Qualifications

• Eligible for B.C. Teaching Certification or B.C. Independent Schools Teaching Certification
• Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in teachable subjects
• Previous teaching experience as a TOC or classroom teacher
• Evidence of involvement in a local Christian faith community
• Evidence of strength and/or training in literacy and numeracy instruction
• Ability to work in a collaborative, inclusive work environment
• Evidence of courage, integrity, transparency, and honesty in relationships
