In this workshop, awareness will be drawn to implementing an effective Respectful Workplace policy and training employees to understand the legal and ethical requirements to support a work environment where staff feel safe, accepted and valued.
School leaders will be given an overview of the Respectful Workplace policy and training session designed to support employees’ understanding of the behaviours that constitute unlawful discrimination, harassment and bullying and how to address issues effectively. Participants will also discuss the logistics of rolling out an important new policy and how to enable all staff to attend a Respectful Workplace training session.

An integral part of school leadership is ensuring the school’s financial sustainability. Embark on a journey in transformational philanthropy as we explore the benefits of establishing a giving program that prioritises the cultivation of genuine, meaningful relationships with donors. We will discuss an approach to fundraising aligned with the school’s mission, vision and strategic priorities, that faithfully cares for donors and will grow giving significantly over time. Cultivating a culture of giving takes time; it ultimately enhances donor commitment to the school, ensuring a flourishing and sustainable future. Join us in this conversation as we share both our knowledge and lived experience.
Doug Jensen & Adam Woelders
School budgets are typically driven by vague goals and short-term urgencies that threaten your school’s capacity to execute its mission and purpose. The budget isn’t simply your fiscal accounting document. Instead, it is your leadership’s most important strategic tool in driving your organization forward and operationalizing your community’s values. We will share the LCS story of how, collectively, since 2019, we implemented processes and systems that transformed our school from a school with underpaid teachers, underfunded programs, underserviced facilities, crippling special education spending, and a culture of “no” to where we are today – a school with the fiscal capacity to live more fully into God’s calling on our school, today and tomorrow. Schools don’t rise to the level of their goals and strategic plans – they sink or rise to the capacity and fidelity of their systems.
