In close partnership with our member schools, we offer a range of services designed to strengthen learning and school sustainability. These include policy development, leadership and governance training, and mentoring in finance and advancement. Our Directors of Learning work alongside school leaders and educators to support curriculum, instruction, and assessment that are both educationally sound and distinctively Christian, meeting the diverse needs of students across our schools.
The Society of Christian Schools in British Columbia was founded 50 years ago by a group of schools that recognized the strength of collaboration. What began as a shared commitment to mutual support has grown into a network serving a wide variety of Christian schools, representing different denominational traditions and organizational models. United by biblically grounded principles affirmed by Protestant evangelical Christians, member schools commit to SCSBC’s constituting documents and participate through an annual membership fee based on student enrollment.
Membership offers far more than access to services, workshops, conferences, resources, and the SCSBC Member Portal. It connects your school directly to the expertise and support of SCSBC staff—just a phone call or email away—and welcomes you into a province-wide community of nearly forty Christian schools. This is a community marked by cooperation, shared wisdom, and a deep commitment to supporting one another in the work of Christian education.
